Once Upon A Cure, Relay For Life of Second Life 2016 will begin with the Kick Off Event on Sunday , March 6, 2016 at 10am SLT. This is the 12th Year for RFL in Second Life and we are knocking on the door of $3,000,000 US Dollars raised since 2005! We have seen a great start with the excitement from teams and the rush to start fundraising-via Convio. Now it will be time to officially start the season and we have a great Kick Off Event planned.
Our theme this year is Once Upon A Cure with a focus on the story. Every Relayer has a story. Every Survivor has a story. Every Caregiver has a story. Everyone Touched By Cancer has a story. What Is YOUR Relay Story?
Join us on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 10am SLT for our Kick Off Ceremony where the Steering Committee and other committee members will formally start the season. T1Radio will be streaming the ceremony live! The Pre-Show starts at 9am SLT.
All afternoon and into the evening we will have entertainment from live music to DJ’s. We even have the opportunity for teams to take to the stage for an hour and do some fundraising!

Times available are on a first reserve basis. You can have a DJ, Live Musician or even a Comedian! It is your hour to fundraise for your team or get together with another team and do a dual event! (we will change the stream and place kiosks for your team….no rezzing abilities)
It is going to be a FUN-TASTIC day at Kick Off !
We will be making a few special announcements that you do not want to miss!

***************** Stage Area **************
There are seven (7) 1 hour slots available for teams to reserve the Kick Off Stage area.
DJ’s, live musicians, performances, comedians, it is up to you what you do for your hour. However, please keep in mind, when booking your entertainment, there will be no Rez rights permitted due to the location of the stage on the American Cancer Society Island. We will place your kiosk out and change the stream for you.
Please ensure you have read the Fund raising Guidelines regarding entertainment / music and remember there are no tip jars permitted.

Our team registration will begin in February. But as a special New Year treat we will be opening Early Bird registration for 2 days only!

Those teams who register early will get their name put in a random raffle.
